Registration for DEA Control Numbers Now Open
Posted in: All News

Early this morning the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants was notified by the Drug Enforcement Administration that the technical changes have been made to their website to allow Kentucky PAs to register for their DEA control number. While the delay was unfortunate the Louisville DEA field office has been extraordinarily helpful in getting this resolved.

The Louisville office will be reaching out to applicants via email to requesting they provide the letter from the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure that shows they are authorized to prescribe controlled substances. Make sure to provide a good email address on the application and respond promptly because the application cannot sit pending for a prolonged period of time. You cannot apply for a DEA registration until they have the letter from the KBML.
