KAPA is partnering with the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and a coalition of national professional organizations in a grant funded by SAMHSA called the State Targeted Response Technical Assistance Consortium (STR-TA) to offer waiver training for Medication Assisted (MAT). PAEA’s vision is that all PA program graduates and faculty will be waiver eligible.
KAPA will be hosting two live 4 hour webinars on June 16th and June 18th, and following the webinars an additional 4 hours of on demand CME will be sent to participants to be completed at a later date.. This course does fulfill the requirements under KY HB 135, prescriptive authority for Physician Assistants. This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to apply for 4 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
