2018 Lobby Day

Join KAPA members onTuesday, February 13th, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 2018at theCapitol Building Annex in Frankfort as theyconverge on the Kentucky State Capitol to advocate for the Physician Assistant profession, and specifically lobby to allow Physician Assistants prescriptive authority of schedulemedications. See House Bill 228 sponsored by Rep. Daniel Elliott.

This modified prescriptive authority is a reasonable means of providing PAs, in collaboration with their supervisory physicians, a way to maximize their effectiveness and quality of patient care. It would also create more professional parity to be competitive with other non-physician, advanced practice providers.

Every PA matters--so mark your calendars now.We need you to attend and show your support! In addition to advocating for this much-needed legislation, you will also help to raise awareness about the importance of PAs in Kentucky to both patients and to the healthcare system.
